The PR Council's Student Innovation Challenge tasked students across the country with creating solutions to the problem of lack of inclusivity within the push for greater diversity. Microaggressions subconsciously create a divide within communities and hinder inclusivity. Regardless of who we are or where we come from, we all have unintentional biases. For this project, my creative partner and I decided to focus on this issue.

We created the #checkUOself campaign specifically for the University of Oregon. This campaign would use posters with common microaggressions and a QR code leading to a website with more information and resources about what microagressions are, and how we can fight against them. Along with the eye-catching posters, students would also take part in a mandatory training during student orientation to help them become aware of the impact of their words.
